RSPCA – digital two-way radios
Wirefr3 Radio Communications Ltd have been providing two-way radio solution to the RSPCA for many years. We have just had the pleasure of completing the analogue to digital migration for two-way radios at a local centre – RSPCA Blackberry Farm, Aylesbury.
The team are incredibly busy at Blackberry Farm and having good quality communication systems in place is essential. Having operated with analogue two-way radios previously, the Centre ran into issues around interference and quality of transmission – switching to digital two-way radios would be the best way forward. Digital radio offers many advantages over analogue, including improved voice quality with greater coverage, better privacy and better battery life. When using an analogue two-way radio, every sound thats picked up by the microphone is transmitted. If there is a lot of background noise, it can be difficult to understand transmissions. Digital technology is purer. The software is solely focused on the voice. The result is exceptional voice clarity. In addition, operating on designated digital frequencies has removed the interference that they were receiving – no more crossed lines!
The switch to digital has really improved Centre communications. Clear, uninterrupted messages are now being communicated via their two-way radios. This will lead to improved operational efficiency and ultimately a better experience for staff, guests and the animals.
