Motorola R7 takes off!

We are delighted to be providing Motorola R7 two-way radios to a new client operating in the aviation sector.

With the client previously using phones, communication was sometimes hit and miss due to cellular coverage.  They also needed to co-ordinate different tasks with different teams so a group call function would improve efficiency.  The R7 radio now provides reliable communication throughout their site, ensuring key messages are delivered and acted upon – ultimately improving efficiency.  With group calling now available, the team can now co-ordinate tasks far more effectively.

Motorola R7 overview

The R7 radio is a digital, portable two-way radio that offers loud, clear and customisable audio.  The advanced audio processing ensures that your voice is always understood.   Engineered with a powerful speaker, the R7 radio delivers a phenomenal loudness, loud enough to be heard over the roar of passing traffic and ideal for an aviation environment.

The R7 can be paired with accessories that are specially designed to make your fleet easier to use.  The R7’s extra loud profile is supported on many of the purpose built R7 accessories.  The carefully designed accessory port adds robust and reliable connectivity to your accessories while being resistant to dust and corrosion.

The R7 is designed to military standard with IP rating of IP66 and IP68.  The radios are completely dust-tight and protected from water immersion up to 2 metres deep for 2 hours.  The enlarged screen is ruggedised for impact resilience and protection from drops.

The radios are powered by Lithium Ion batteries which keeps weight and size down to a minimum while providing long periods between charges.
