Wirefr3 are delighted to announce the deployment of a new two-way radio fleet at The Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.

Wirefr3 have supplied and maintained the two-way radio system at the hospital for nearly 10 years and the new FM team required a robust and effective radio solution.  The FM team will carry out a variety of works across the hospital and its grounds so two-way radio is critical.  There are also sub-sites in different towns where employees will be operating from.

The solution

FM team members on-site are now utilising the Motorola R7 radio.  The R7 provides crystal clear audio and noise suppression – a great addition when operating in noisy environments.  The radio is IP68 rated ensuring it is up to the task for the work of the FM team.  The R7 also has a long battery life ensuring no drop out in the middle of shifts.

Team members who are operating at the sub-sites are utilising the TLK100 radio.  These sites are situated too far away from the hospital for conventional two-way radio.  However, the TLK100 operates of 3G/4G and broadband and provides wide-area coverage.  This allows the operative to speak to other TLK100 users across all sites with a simple push of a button.  The TLK100 delivers UK and Europe-wide radio coverage and is a perfect fit for a dispersed workforce.
